Today, Samsung launched their brand new Windows 10 device, the Galaxy TabPro S taking on the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 in the US. The device is available with Best But for $899.99 and will be soon available at Microsoft stores from April 4th 2016.
The most interesting part of the device is that its a result of collaboration between Samsung, Intel and Microsoft. This shows how committed Microsoft is even though its a coopting device. It’s a beautiful, ultra thin, detachable 2-in-1 that is optimized for entertainment and offers productivity for both consumers and the enterprise.
Microsoft claims that the first thing you would notice about the device is how light, and thin it is, and even with the cover the weight comes to 1.53 pounds which is around 800 grams. This makes it the thinnest Windows 10 2-in-1 in the market.
TabPro S houses a 12” Super AMOLED screen, which is incredibly bright and has one of the best viewing angles, perfect for sitting back and watching a movie. Microsoft has also worked hard to optimize the Cortana experience. Together with Samsung, Microsoft has improved the Cortana speech accuracy from good to exceptional, with scores greater than 90% across all sound environments – from a busy house, to a coffee shop, or office space. The microphone is powerful, and the optimisation speaks for itself with dual-array microphones. Even in a noisy place, people can hear me clearly.
The Galaxy TabPro S comes standard with an Intel Core M3 processor, which is also optimized for Windows 10. It includes Intel 6th-gen Core M processor, 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB SSD of storage. Because of these optimisation, the Galaxy TabPro S gets over ten hours of battery life when watching videos in full-screen. Ideal for long trips and travel. More here
