  1. How about GV for Windows Phone, another Google Voice client app for Windows Phone? I personally tried almost all the GV client apps for Windows Phone available in the Market Place, but none of them can even compare with Groove IP for Android phones. All the apps are missing one important feature: receiving calls dialed to the unique Google assigned GV number. They just forward the calls to another phone. However, it does not make any sense you call with GV when you have another phone which is also capable to make the call.

    • Try spare phone. It works with voice calling. You can call without using your minute. But it does not have text just calling feature. And it is not free. Metrotalk for text and voicemail and spare phone for voice calling should do the job. But call quality is little bit worse in SP than Groove IP but less echo.
