MX Player is an extremely popular player on Android which has the same popularity as MoliPlayer has on Windows Phone. The app on Android supports Hardware acceleration, multiple core support, pinch to zoom when playing videos, subtitles, kids protection and so on.
Good news is that they have started their development of their Windows Phone version with a public beta testing, but they do say its only a prototype. Expect lot of bugs and future updates to fix them. The app instead of being a port is native to Windows Phone and is also a universal app i.e. Works on Windows 8 as well.
While the images show things work, it may not work as expected. None of my video files were picked up by default. So if you are interested to test, and send feedback, do participate. Interesting to note one person in the forum thread said its fake, while a senior member said that it’s not and they are testing. Also there is no MKV support as of now, but MP4 only.
This is NOT fake but an early prototype version. We just begun to develop Windows 8 version.
