While we all waited for Nokia to reveal Nokia 525 at Nokia World and came out disappointed, here is some good news because the wait is over and Nokia has listed Lumia 525 on their website.
Like we said previously that Microsoft has definitely upped their minimum hardware configuration when 1320 was announced, Lumia 525 is a big proof of that. The phone comes with a 1GB RAM which crosses the bare minimum of 512 MB RAM for low end Windows Phone and is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon™ S4, Dual-core 1 GHz which is also used in Lumia 1320. The phone comes with 5MP camera, 8GB of internal memory and 5 MP rear camera.
The phone is only 124 g which is pretty light, supports Micro SIM, Bluetooth 4.0 onboard but doesnt have NFC. The battery is almost the same as Lumia 520 battery which is 1430 mAh.
Those who expected upgrade in camera will be disappointed, it’s the same camera with f/2.4 and no flash. However the camera does support ISO 100, 200, 400 and 800 along with apps like Nokia Story Teller. The video can be recorded at 720P at 30 FPS.
The package comes with Nokia Lumia 525, High Efficiency Charger AC-20, Nokia Battery BL-5J , Nokia Charging and Data Cable CA-189CD, Nokia Stereo Headset WH-108, Quick guide.
The video display Nokia Camera on Lumia 525 which could be a great hint that its coming to all Windows Phone.
Pricing and Availability:
We don’t have info on any of these because we are still waiting for an official update on this. If it’s priced around the same range as Nokia Lumia 520, it will sell like hot cakes, similar to how Lumia 520 did.
Lumia 525 will be launched on December 14th and priced at around 200$ according to Singapore’s FB Page. Also the device will only be available in Asia-Pacific, Africa and Middle East. Thanks @gcweir
@gcaweir can you please link me to that?
