Nokia rolls out update for Lumia 900, 710 (Update 8779) and 610 (Update 12201)

By -

Looks like Nokia is on a roll and keeping up with promise they said about Lumia handsets getting all kind of updates possible, even though none of them are going to upgradeable to Windows Phone 8 OS. After yesterdays update of Lumia 800 (8773) which included Internet Sharing, Nokia is rolling out the following updates, 8779 and 12201, which should be available as you read it or wait for some time to reflect.

  • Lumia 900 : Enhanced sensitivity for proximity sensor & Colors look better in low light.
  • Lumia 710 :  Internet Sharing & Flip to Silence incoming calls.
  • Lumia 610 :  Proximity sensor improvement and better alarm tone when you are on a call.

This comes as coincidence for Lumia 610 for Indian users, as the device was officially announced today at a price tag of 13K and probably its not already preloaded on the phone and users will need to connect to the Zune software to find if the update is available for you. Lumia 900 will be introduced to Indian market, later this year.

In case you still don’t see the update, you may try the Disconnect Internet when update is on check hack which we did at time when Mango was rolled out.
