Finding a proper parking place in my city is one of the reasons I hate taking out my car everywhere. I just make sure that I do know about a parking spot before I turn on the engine. Now the second problem rolls in when you plan to find your car back, when its time to go out. If you are lucky enough to have a parking spot which can help you, you are pretty lucky but that does not happen at all the places. This is even more difficult when you had parked your car at a location bit off from the place, you are visiting.
Introducing Parking Network which is an online service planned to solve both of these problems in one shot. This application in its first stage allows you to mark a parking area on the map with details of how much it will cost you on an hourly basis. This makes sure that you can find your way back to the exact location using the navigation feature built into it.
When setting up your car location, you can also take a picture of the area where you parked it to make sure you can recall the place by looking at it. This is useful when either the place is pretty crowded or lot many cars are confusing.
Second it makes sure that you get reminded about how much it is costing you every hour or when your parking time is getting over. This helps you keep track and take decision at time to move out of the place where you are currently.
When you pin the app to start screen of the phone, it displays the location of the car parking and on launch it will display the same. As of now it remembers only one parking spot which makes sense.
The second problem about finding the Parking Spot is under testing now and this is how it works. Every time you mark your parking spot, the data is sent anonymously over the database. This will make sure that when the feature is finally rolled out, you can get to find a parking sport and also on the parking spot availability.
Since the app uses GPS signals, you should be in an open area where there is enough stability in signals to pin point the parking spot which is pretty crucial here.
