The classic Worms series have been tried to be brought back on all major new (or not some new) platforms. Forcing new gamers to discover and play the retro classic game of turn-based strategy and humor.
At the heart of it, very little has actually changed. Since the past 17 years, the Worms formula has remained pretty much the same: two teams of worms arm themselves with grenades, bazookas and other weapons as they try to blow up the other team and anything else around them.

Gameplay:
As I mentioned, the core of the gameplay hasn’t really changed a lot. (Think Angry Birds and it’s zillions of iterations) Players use a variety of weapons and gadgets to move around the 2.5D world (the world and gameplay is 2D, but explosions can leave dents which in geek speak is 2.5D) while trying to take out the opponent team. Many of my personal favourite items are back, such as the Concrete Donkey and Sheep. However, some new weapons have been added too around the new dynamic water element.
The Dynamic Water element is probably the most talked about thing in this game, which lets players do things like blasting a hole in a pocket of water to send it falling into the map, washing away some enemy worms in the process. Underwater worms take damage every turn, but can use new utilities like the plug hole to drain the liquid. It’s pretty great, but weapons like the water pistol, water bomb and water strike are harder to use effectively than more traditional Worms weapons.

Classes in Worms Revolution :
Worms Revolutions has also introduced 4 different classes, the basic worm is now known as the Solider, and he’s joined by Scout, Scientist and Heavy.
Every class it’s pros and cons list, for example, the Scouts are far more agile than any other class, they can move faster and jump further. However, they do the least damage with their attacks.
The heavies however, are like tanks. They move slowly, but their attacks cause more damage. The scientists are the supporting class. Each time it’s a scientist’s turn every worm on the team gets an additional 5 points of health.
Modes :
The killer feature is multiplayer gaming, like always. Featuring three modes: Deathmatch, Forts and Classic, and can be played either on the couch with friends or via XBLA.
Most people wonder why the game is still based on 2D gameplay stuff when 3D is standard now. The simple answer to that question is, that the battlefields must be noticeable and readable at a glance, they have to be presented in a precise and a neat manner so that the player can focus on destruction promptly.

Graphics and Sounds :
As far as the graphics and the sound goes, the levels look decent and respond nicely to destruction as games progress, in a subtle way. And the background noise is over shadowed by the awesome narration from Matt Berry. He will make you laugh.
Verdict:
Pick it up, now. You will not regret it if you like casual gaming or are just a fan of retro games, with 32 levels in the single player championship and 20 levels in the puzzle mode it’s really worth the money.

Finding it tough to play Worms Revolution ? Ask Us
So, we decided to help you get started with Worms since the controls are not very easy (It’s supposed to be a PC game) and you’d see so many people complaining how hard it is.
It’s not.
You destroy worms. Sounds pretty simple right?
Now to do that, you’ll have to learn the controls. It’s not easy but follow the on-screen stuff carefully, exactly, and you’ll do just fine. Sometimes when it doesn’t work and you get frustrated, have a Coke (or the beverage of your choice) calm yourself down and try again and again. It’s not an easy challenge, but you’ll get there.
Regarding the un-lockable achievements, Gamespot has done a good job and instead of writing it again. You could just read it.
Also, if you need any help with the controls, you could ask us in the comments, and we’d be happy to help you out.
Just remember to do EXACTLY what the pointers tell you to do, and don’t give up and say the grapes are sour cause’, trust me, you’d be missing out on a really good game. Just keep trying!
Happy gaming!
