Samsung has just announced a new Windows Phone, Omnia M which is all directed towards entertainment and sharing and seems to be a direct predecessor of Samsung Omnia W and will be released in Europe first.
Now we have talked about the specs etc below but what is interesting is that the image of the phone released by the Samsung Press is missing two key design feature of Windows Phone, A Back button and Dedicated Search button. The only thing that is visible is the Start Key. Though it does seem like a mistake but then its a big one because these three buttons cannot be changed or removed as per Microsoft. But if its not then its up to you to guess if this points to how the new Windows Phone Apollo might be ? Still hard to believe.

Secondly I am not sure why Samsung came out with a phone at the time when we are pretty close to Windows Phone Apollo or Windows Phone 8 release and since the device is not major hardware upgrade nor has anything to confirm on big upgrades, it will be interesting to see how well it will do in the market.

Looks a lot like the Omnia 7, a trimmed down Omnia 7 :)
And if it’s like the Omnia 7, the back and search “buttons” are touch buttons that light up when you tap them (and stay lit for a while).
Hey Carlos, Yeah Seems like that. What was even more confusing was they are not the picture of the real device and more like drawing or something. The Windows Logo was so prominent with no sign of others was odd. I think even Lumia Works the same way ?
