Every phone has its own option to manager calendars and appointments. Similar to other platforms, Windows Phone also features a calendar app where you can add multiple Windows Live or Google accounts to manage your calendar. Although the calendar app has good options to manage appointments and tasks, its display options available are limited.
WP7 Calendar is a calendar based app for Windows Phone which brings in some display options. The app has a metro interface and on the start page, you can see four tiles and also scroll options. The tiles include Parameters, Live Tiles, search and release notes. If you scroll towards right or left, you can view your calendar in different views, namely week, month, day etc.
The parameters options allows users to select the display method for calendar and also select the accounts from which the app needs to display the events and tasks. By default all your calendar items are picked by the app, but you can disable any particular account. You can view the calendar by setting the day to start on fixed hour.
The app also comes with option to enable Live Tiles. There are 4 kind of tiles and you can view upto 8 appointments on the live tiles. You can use back tile to display appointment of tomorrow. There are 5 options to customize the tile as well.
The app also has in build search for appointments, where you can perform basic or advanced search for appointments. You can also pin the search to start to quickly view any calendar item.
The app is priced at $1.49 and comes with the trial version, you can launch the application 15 times and access all the features. If you use Calendar function on your Windows Phone extensively, then this app is pretty good especially with the live tiles and also the search function.
