3 Awesome Features on Lumia 950 and 950XL
Microsoft announced their new flagship devices, the Lumia 950 and 950XL at the Windows 10 Device event and these phones comes with top end hardware. These two devices will replace the Lumia 930 which is currently the flagship device available. Both these devices will come with Windows 10 Mobile at launch.
Now, comparing the specs with Android flagships, you will see the new Lumias have specs very similar to them with Quad HD display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage, Snapdragon 808/ 810 processor, 20MP camera and more. But there are other features in these Lumia phones which are not available for Android users. So here are the best and most useful features in the new flagships from Microsoft.

1. Continuum:
Continuum is a new feature in Windows 10, which allows users to connect up a mouse, keyboard, and monitor and transform the Lumia 950XL into a PC using a dock. This feature turns your phone start screen to desktop start menu. Developers can create Windows 10 apps to take advantage of Continuum, but Microsoft’s built-in apps and Office Mobile software will be fully supported out of the box.
All you need to do is to connect your phone to the dock and start using the device from the PC monitor and you can multi-task just like the way you do on a laptop.

2. Liquid Cooling:
Most of the times, flagship devices have this major issue of heating up when used heavily. We have already seen multiple reports on heating issue on Snapdragon 810 Octa-core chipset. The Lumia 950XL also runs on the Snapdragon 810, but Microsoft mentioned about Liquid cooling technology to make the device cooled. This is in fact “tablet-class liquid cooling” as mentioned by Microsoft which to allow these phones to handle more powerful chips without getting heated.
Although we are yet to see the actual performance, liquid cooling should help solve the Snapdragon 810 overheating issues, at least on Lumia 950XL. Both these devices come with liquid cooling.

3. Windows Hello:
While a lot of Android flagships now feature finger print scanner, Lumia 950 and 950XL does not feature it, instead it uses a new feature called Windows Hello. It is a biometric authentication which makes it possible for users to unlock the device by jus looking at it. Windows Hello will recognize the face of the user (which is already registered to the device) and unlocks it without having to touch the device.
Users just need to hold the device onto their face. Windows Hello is more convenient than typing a password, you’re greeted by name as it lights up in recognition, providing a faster and more secure way to log in because you are the password.
