4K Content from Netflix is now available Exclusively with Edge & Windows 10

When it comes to streaming and Microsoft Edge, the recanted browser from Microsoft has been engineered to optimize for and take advantage of these Windows 10 built-in media capabilities, providing the best video experience of any browser on Windows 10. An example is HLS implementation in Edge which  which made streaming of Apple event possible.

It was also the only browser r for Windows 10 which can stream your Netflix shows at 1080p on your Windows 10 PC. This just got bumped up, and with Netflix it can stream 4K content, and is exclusive for Windows 10.

Microsoft announced 4K stream for “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life”, premiering November 25th. This is compatible with PCs and 2-in-1 devices with Windows 10, including the new Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, premiering November 25th.

Those who are wondering how was this made possible then it was pretty clear when Edge received the 1080P support. The fact that Microsoft Edge received 1080p content in the power test means it actually ran a somewhat higher power draw than it otherwise would have playing 720p content like the other browsers.
