One of the most sought after feature on any mobile OS is the customization options. People love to customize their phones with wallpapers, themes and also lockscreen images. While the customization options in Windows Phone 8.1 were less, Microsoft has improved it with Windows 10 Mobile.
Here are 5 ways to customize your Windows 10 Mobile experience.
1. Start Menu:
The new start menu on Windows 10 Mobile allows users to select a background image. Navigating to System-> Personalization-> Start, you have to option to pick an image from the pictures gallery of select your favorite wallpaper. You can either tool tile picture or full screen picture. If you choose full screen picture, you also have the option to enable tile transparency.
You also have the option to show more tiles on the start screen.
2. Lock Screen:
Another option is to customize the lock screen with images and app notifications. Open Settings-> Personalization-> Lock screen. Here you can select images from Bing, Pictures, Health and Fitness app or even Facebook. The image on the lock screen will be populated based on your selection.
You can also select the apps which can show the notifications on your lock screen.
3. Pin Tiles:
Another cool option in Windows 10 mobile is the ability to pin any settings to start screen. This is pretty useful if you access a particular setting frequently, you can access if easily from the start. More details on this option available here.
4. Notification and Access:
The notification center on Windows 10 Mobile has 4 or 5 quick toggles based on the screen size of your phone. But you can always customize these quick toggles. Navigate to System-> Notification and Access. Here you can click on the icon and change the quick toggles.
5. Colors (with Sync):
Similar to Windows Phone 8.1 you can also customize the accent color on your phone. Navigate to Personalize-> Colors and you can enable either dark or light theme. There is also ample option to select the accent color on your phone. With Sync settings, you can also sync these colors across multiple devices.
