Deciding Factors:

Display: Moto E houses a qHD screen with Gorilla glass 3 protection which leaves 520 and 530 far behind the league. The color reproduction are sharp and natural both when watching movies, playing games and regular usage and even brighter.

Memory: 1 GB RAM gives a significant advantage to the device. It ensures that any game or app can run on the device even if they are memory demanding. While there is no problem with 5125 MB RAM, few apps or game releases first on 1 GB RAM devices which means you holding a 530 or 520 will have to wait.

Storage: One of the biggest nuisance of the Moto E is due to low internal storage and OS restriction, you need to have enough space left on internal storage to update apps and even install system updates. This will get you stranded which is not good.

While in Lumia 530, this wasn’t an issue once you setup SD card to install apps and download data directly on SD Card. I have been using it since 14 days now with 900 MB left on internal storage and I am easily update all apps and download large size games.

Gaming: Its better in Moto E and Lumia 520, also lumia 520 is slightly better because the GPU used is marginally faster. Also the qHD display of Moto E looks better than both 520 and 530.

Battery: Lumia 530 has much better battery life compared to both Moto E and Lumia 520.

Video Discussion

Conclusion:

That said, Lumia 530 is the new Lumia 520 to attract teenagers or first time consumers. Sooner or later, the 520 will be removed from the production line and 530 will be give all the boost so the new consumers get better hardware device.

Moto E is definitely a decent device which has almost the same hardware as the Lumia 530 but the storage issue is a big problem. However if you are looking only for Android as a platform, you may pick it up but make sure to research fro new Android devices coming to market.
