As a publisher, I have always hated adblockers, but if you do visit website which are super aggressive on adverts, this is the only solution left for general consumers. Adblock Plus has announced that they will release an extension for Microsoft Edge Browser, and marked it as “Coming Soon”.
It was only yesterday, Microsoft accidentally leaked Extension support page, and with Adblock plus announcement, looks like things are around the corner.
The best way to use Adblock Plus would to only block ads on websites which are Unobtrusive. At the end it’s the only way for publishers to support their website, and themselves. Apart from this, it can automatically block tracking, malware domains, banners, pop-ups and video ads. Works on Web, and also on Facebook and YouTube.
It will be interesting to see if they would get it on Mobile as well, once Microsoft enables try extension support on Windows 10 Mobile. Are you waiting for Adblock Plus for Edge? Which extensions are must have for you to totally switch to Edge? Let us know in the comments.
