The Official announcement for MWC have begun, and taking the lead Alcatel has announced “Plus 10”, a 2-in-1 Windows 10 Tablet ( not Windows 10 Mobile) with detachable keyboard. The tablet houses a display with resolution of 1280 X 800, 4G LTE connectivity, 1.92 GHz Quad -Core Intel processor, 2 GB RAM and internal storage of 32 GB which you can expand up to 64 GB using a microSD card.
Tablets end up using even more for consuming media, and with 4G in place, the company has managed to put in 5,820 mAh battery. If thats not enough, the detachable keyboard comes with 2589 mAh battery power. It also includes USB, microUSB, and microHDMI port. This actually puts this tablet into business perspective though I am sure even consumers won’t mind it.
Interesting to note that the detachable keyboard has 4G LTE support which can serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 15 devices; a great way to stay connected in a jiffy. The tablet also includes front speakers with 3D audio effect.
The Plus 10 is expected to go on sale in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa in June. There is no information on its pricing as of now. No words on pricing though.
I think Plus 10 is going to a great alternative for those who are looking for a notebook alternative, but can also be used as tablet. Since this comes with Windows 10 installed, and can get your office work done nicely, its a great choice.
