App Folder for Windows Phone

Samsung did something impressive today for Windows Phone, they rolled out App Folder — Add multiple live tiles into one folder and Video Trimmer — which Nokia Lumia users will get for the upcoming YouTube video uploader.

App Folder:

This idea is in lot of demand because Windows Phone start screen scroll was getting out of hands. Even though Windows Phone does allow you to resize the tile to an extent that you can fit in loads of app without scroll but looks like Folder for Apps is very much in demand.

App folder app provides a solution to group multiple apps in single tile on the Start screen. Good thing is the Tile ( folder) displays all the apps pinned inside it. If you want to have loads of apps in one folder, use the wide tile.

Video Trimmer:

Now even though Nokia is planning a video trimmer, it’s planned for the YouTube uploader app which means you might not just use it to cut your videos. Samsung on other hand, rolled out their own version of Video Trimmer which can do that for any video, does not matter if you plan to upload or not. This could be a great solution for many who want to upload a six second video to Vine or even Instagram when it comes to place.

That said, for the first time I feel that Samsung made their Windows Phone Ativ S users really proud. This also means that it only works on Windows Phone 8 devices. Now many of you might be wondering how to get this app on Nokia Lumia or HTC 8X, there isn’t a simple way. You might just do it if can fiddle around with the app to fool it into thinking that it is a Samsung.
