AppDetective : Automatically search apps in any Windows Phone Marketplace based on Keywords
When it comes to looking for a new app, either we look into top marketplace ratings or depend on website to publish something but if you want to find something on your own and that too on your Windows Phone itself, We just discovered an App for that.
App Detective app lets you create a scheduler which based on your keyword, marketplace selection can run in the background and make a list of the apps based on that.
This will be useful for Developers to check, how search works for their app in different marketplace and for users, it will be a powerful tool to discover new apps, automatically
Features :
- Create unlimited search scheduler which runs automatically or can be refreshed manually.
- Each list has its count and last search time.
- Use multiple keywords to search.
- When a new app is found, you get notified about it.
- Launch the app from a search result directly i.e. from the list to install or buy.
- In case, you feel that an app in the search result, should not be there, you can hit the minus sign to move it to False Positive section. This helps you get a cleaner result.
- Individual Search can be pinned to start menu i.e. Live Tile, which shows the count of apps found for those keywords.
- Get a reminder if you haven’t used an app for two weeks.
- You can choose how often you want to run the search which ranges from every one hour to every 2nd day. Each time the search runs, it goes on for 20 to 25 seconds.
- You can choose to turn of the background agent.
- Support for Tango devices, without background agents.
- Option for background agent to only sync when connected on WiFi (or Ethernet)
Suggestion :
- Display the Price and Pic of the app in the list.
- Sort by Price, Name etc. There is a need of Alphabetic sort to avoid scrolling.
- Allow to change the marketplace for Individual List. So if I want to run searches over different marketplace, it should be possible.
