Video: Asphalt 7 Heat on Nokia Lumia 620

Asphalt 7 Heat which was released a couple of days back for Windows Phone now works for low end phones i.e. Lumia 620, 520 and 720. This amazing car racing game brought along a major update by improving graphics, game performance and touch responses compared to Asphalt 5 and Asphalt 6. It was initially rolled out for only Windows Phone high end devices i.e. Lumia 820 and Lumia 920.

It’s good to see Gameloft taking the Windows Phone Game market seriously. We were pretty disappointed when Lumia 620 couldn’t play games that well. However the optimized version of Lumia 620 seems to do very well. The game when initially launched had a size of 887 MB which is reduced to 512 MB now.

Performance:

The game overall did well and now I can say that Lumia 620 is good for games too. However my concern remains that developers need to optimize the games for low end devices.

The game is slow only when it comes to menus. The response is bit slow compared to Lumia 920 but gameplay remains smooth. The best part of the gameplay was that Lumia 620 did not get hot even after an hour of play. This is really impressive. I guess the GPU core is making it really worth the price.

Graphics:

Like we have always said, Asphalt 7 Graphics are over the roof. Its a major improvement over Asphalt 5. If you are looking for some 3D graphics which makes the car and objects inside very real, this game is just for you.

Sound:

Gameloft has put on a lot of effort on Sound effects. They not keep you in mood but they are handpicked for every moment. You will really feel getting into the game right when you are in the menu.

Lumia 620 has an incredible sound quality. Asphalt 7 Heat is at an advantage here since speakers are at the back, the game sound doesn’t annoy you even in full volume.
