Third Part Ebay App for Windows Phone

Even though eBay has an official app for Windows Phone, if you are looking for more advanced features and a completely different UI experience, Auction app recently released a third-party app for Windows Phone.

Now, since all your eBay account details and money are managed by this app, it might concern you. Good news is that Auction App are into eBay developers program and the app is certified by eBay as a compatible application.

Features :

The app supports multiple user accounts. This means if you have multiple shops on eBay, you can track all of them. It comes with a My eBay panel which is just like your online account. This is where you get access to Feedbacks, Message and other tools.

Buyer:

Once your account is linked you can almost do everything possible on eBay which includes replying to messages, buying an item, taking part in bidding etc. You get notified if you are outbid by someone else.
Advanced search options bring in eBay advance search on your phone. This means you have options like keywords filter, categories, price range, type of sale, PayPal payments and so on.
You can view and get notified about eBay Deals.
Add or remove items from watch list.
It can store search history.
The items from the search result can be pinned.

Sellers:

Sellers can list an item for sale. When doing this, you can add images, choose how you get paid, place of item, shipping, condition, etc.

Get notified when somebody gives a feedback.

This app makes sure that you don’t need to turn on your laptop or login from any device to look at your eBay account either for buying or selling an item. The app follows the modern style of design, giving a start screen like feel in the app. You can arrange tiles and choose what appears on your app screen. It also includes nice graphic simulation which looks cool when you use it.

Drawbacks:

However, the app has some issues with finding deals according to locale set. In the app you are allowed to choose your country specific eBay site. The deals section for some reason don’t seem to honour that settings.

Also, the app doesn’t seem to follow the Modern principle of Windows Phone design. As an example you cannot pin anything out of the app to the start screen. Everything that happens remains inside the app.
