Background Downloading coming to Edge Browser Windows 10 Mobile in Later Release

When it came to downloading files on IE on Windows Phone, the paid had been there since the start of the platform. It was one of the most demanded feature that never made it to the browser, but things are changing with Windows 10 Mobile. The brand new Edge browser is going to get the background download in later releases if not the first.

This feature is not an impossible feature, specially now the Universal App is running on both desktop, and Mobile, though it has always been ignored. Today when  Mayur asked Microsoft Edge Program Manager Ade Bateman, he said

“We’re working on it but we’re not sure when it will be ready. Probably won’t be in the first release.”

At least there is a change in the browser, and similar to extension, it will make its appearance in later releases. I still don’t know why, but can only console myself about it. Sometimes its sad to see users still need to wait for features that should have been there out of the box.
