Blood Sport : An Xbox One Controller that Drains Blood While You Get Hit in the Game
When it comes to games on console, most of them are about shooting the other person down which in real life means spilling lot of blood. So here is a group which makes it happen for real but for a good cause–Blood Donation for Canada.
Blood Sport: The Ultimate in Immersive Gaming is a Kickstarter project that aims to use video games, to collect blood as you bleed in the game when playing. They hacked in a Xbox One controller to send signal to the collector which takes in vibration as a signal to drain blood from the donors body. So when it’s played between two guys, the one who feels fatigued first, looses the game.
Their Goal:
Our goal is to develop a refined multi-player unit that can be taken across the country for blood donation gaming events. We are not a charity and we are not a game manufacturer. We are simply creating the gaming hardware that will allow us to get gamers thinking about more important issues while still doing what they love. From there, we’ll partner with the appropriate organizations in both the gaming and medical communities to bring it all to life.
The project is seeking for $250,000 for their campaign. , but it was suspended for some reason. I guess a lot of health related and law issues might have forced them to do so. Nevertheless, it sound like a good idea.
