Continuum will work without External Dock on Windows 10 PCs

One of the major feature upgrades that are coming with Anniversary Update for Windows 10 is Continuum without the need of any external hardware like the Microsoft display dock. While you still need a hardware dock when connecting to external displays like TV, but if you plan to connect on any PC, it won’t.

Microsoft recently unveiled that Continuum will work even when you connect your Windows 10 mobile to a PC. This is useful when you don’t want to use others PC for privacy, and security. All you need is connect your phone to PC via USB, and you get the same interface as you get when connected to a TV. All this is made possible through a new app, Connect. This brings the Continuum experience from your phone to the PC without needing a dock or Miracast adapter.

PC to PC Projection:

If your desktop is a little bit far away, the Connect app will allow Miracast-enabled PCs to project to other PCs without needing a dock. This is like Remote Login, but I am not very sure how exactly it works, and how is that actually useful compared to Remote Login.  Microsoft hasn’t shared anything useful either on this.

We will come up with more details when we try them out. Till then drop us your questions.
