How to Change Cortanas Places and Add Current Location

If you would want to add a new location to Cortana’s Places settings, its rather difficult to use the search box because it picks up all popular places, and shows up all random addresses which might not mean anything to you. Also, most of the time you would end up adding current location than taking out time to do it. In this guide, I am sharing how to Change Cortanas Places and Add Current Location. This applies for both Windows 10 PC and Mobile.

How to Add Current Location in Cortanas Places

So here is an easy way:

Launch Cortana and Say “Where Am I?”
This will open up a mini-map with current location pinpointed and with the address.
Tap on it to see in a full-screen view, tap on the black marker again and it will give you details.

Now hit on save to favorites i.e. the star icon with a minus sign on it.
This will give you the option to save the location with a nickname to it.

Change Address of Home or Work or Any Location in Cortana

The last step is also the way to change your previous saved location Home and Work as well. So let’s say if you changed your work location and would want to replace existing one, use the same trick and you would have the option during saving it to replace existing work or home.

Make sure to give nicknames to your favorite places. It makes it easier to find them in searches, and on the map. Also, it doesn’t matter where you add it.
