Cortana Gets Delayed in UK, Coming Later this Year

When Cortana was announced with Windows Phone 8.1 Beta, it was quiet a surprise that it was US only as the world awaited for this amazing feature on their Windows Phone. Though it make sense for the company to first do the beta testing on their home grounds and then release for rest of the world, it seems there are more delays wrapped in.

UK was supposed to get Cortana in second half of the year, along with China,  but as per Windows Phone UK Twitter account, its going to be later this year for UK at least. Looking at the tone of the twee, it doesn’t look its coming soon as they clearly said “Hi there, it wont be this month, we’re afraid but later in 2014”

That said, Its quiet possible that it could be delayed for rest of the countries as well. It was told to WPXBOX that Cortana will come to Indian in 2015 as it needs lot of local and regional integration along with Voice integration.

I have been using Cortana on my phone from the day it arrived by changing the country and language along with speech to US. It works fine for me but I do miss the local integration which is very important.
