Microsoft Ditches all Non-Kinect Xbox Users; Says Cortana won’t Work with Microphone Enabled Headphones

There are times when Logic doesn’t go the way consumers see it. How hard is to use Cortana over Microphone over Xbox One when it works exactly the same way with PC, very. Microsoft has officially said no for Cortana for Xbox One users who don’t have Kinect. In simple words, Majority of Xbox One users will not be using Cortana because most of them don’t have a Kinect with them.

Cortana integration with Xbox One

WinBeta Reports that a Microsoft Spokesmen clarified on this topic. The spokesperson said:

“The best way to use Cortana on Xbox One is with Kinect. Voice commands make hands-free navigation easy so you can stay focused on your game. If you want, you can type questions and fill in search bars using your controller, as well.”

Honestly, I don’t get a head of it,  because they are still saying best way to use Cortana, and now the only way to use Cortana. The only reason if one has to guess is because Microsoft has wired all their voice commands through kinect, and this could be the only possible reason why it is so. And Microphones, are just for Chat which doesn’t communicate with Speech API of Xbox One.

I am pretty sure that in future updates, Microsoft will release an update that will unlock the Speech API for Microphones that gamers use for chat, and come with a an alternate way out.
