Cortana Now Tracks IRCTC Train Reservations for India

If you are a big fan of Cortana on Windows 10 PC or on Mobile, Cortana has picked up a small, but very useful feature in Travels section. It can now track Train Travels if you have reserved or made online booking from IRCTC, and a confirmation is inside your mailbox. However, it needs an extra step to confirm if your reservation is actually confirmed.

Cortana IRCTC Train Servations

  • Go to Cortana > Notebook > Travel
  • You should see your IRCTC tickets listed. It will be in format “Train no, From Station-TO, Date” e.g. 12308 MGS-HWH, 09 Jun
  • Tap on any of them and you will see an option to confirm that this a Train Reservation, and you need to hit Confirm.
  • Once done, that particular ticket will be marked with bold background colour, and Cortana will put it under ” Your Upcoming Train Trips Confirmed by You”
  • Rest will be under Your Upcoming Train trips.

While I have seen Flight Tickets getting tracked very accurately, this is the first time I have seen Train tickets getting track. I wonder if it can also track status of the train on that day instantly, and remind me about it. That will be really fantastic.
