Dark Lands for Windows PHone

If you have loved playing games where you just run infinitely and collect coins while jumping, diving or speeding under the hurdles…here is something different–Dark Lands–where you play as samurai holding a sword and running over an infinitely dark land facing Goblins, Ogres and Skeletons and finally the boss.

What I really loved about this game is the simple graphics which are done like dark shadows to keep things simple but yet deliver the feel of dark enemies and the background music which gives you feel of actually running over a terrifying place.

Gameplay:

All the characters including the blocks are designed in 2D and they are black except for the background which is reddish like the blood which drops when you or the enemies gets hit. The player has a life range when he starts running which keeps going down as he gets hit. Apart from killing the dark lords, you also need to collect stars, diamond and magic.

After playing for some hours, I realized that the dark lords aren’t touch to kill but what is really difficult is to skip the killer traps that are set up pretty smartly. As an example if you are skipping enemies by jumping over them, get ready to land over one of the traps which drains a lot of life. Some of the traps which move back and forth are even more deadly.

Note: Some traps can even work in favor of you and kill your enemies. You need to learn how it works.

Feature of the Game

The controls are fluid and respond well specially between attack and block.

I found the jump control a bit stiff but still working on it know how it works in different conditions.
You can upgrade using points you collect and it should be the day one strategy.

The game costs 1.99 USD which is bit high but keeping in mind the overall experience and promised updates, I will suggest you get it, you would not be disappointed.
