Darkling: This Shape Making Challenging Game will Keep You Busy for Hours
There are very few games that actually keep you interested for a long time and keep getting you back. While the Windows Phone store has tons of games, today we are taking a look at Darkling-A dark theme-based game where you draw shapes to keep going until you miss one of those.
First thing, this game works fine on low memory Windows Phones so that you won’t be disappointed at the end of the review. The game was first launched on iOS, and now they have ported it on Windows Phone, and we see no reason you should not be playing it. The game is about a creature Lum, a cut ghost, who needs to collect stars and defeat the dark creatures–Darklings.
GamePlay:
You, as Lum, decent down in a dark forest. Darklings come from both sides towards you. The goal is to get rid of them and collect the stars they leave behind. The coolest thing about the game is that you need to draw shapes on the screen instead of throwing bullets or arrows. These shapes appear as crowns on each of these darklings. When they are gone, drag the stars towards Lum and make them stronger.

While that sounds easy, here is the trick as you clear them off one by one, the speed and the count increases. This is where things get dirty. If you miss drawing any of the shapes properly, you risk getting hit by one of them and game over. It would help if you were fast and accurate.
Now here is a clue for all of you who are going to play and find it difficult. You get darklings from both directions, and when you clear one of them, they get pushed back. Use this in your favor if you fail to get the shapes right. It’s going to be tough, but it’s total fun. Ah, and one thing, there is a boss mode as well. He is going to throw shapes left and right, so be careful.

There are few more things in the game, but I will keep you wondering and let you experience when you play the game.
While the game is challenging, it’s quite an adventure and very unique in its gameplay style. Using gestures is something I have totally loved. Priced at USD 1.99, the game is totally worth its value, and you should be investing in this.
