Delete Multiple Calls and SMS “You Want” in Windows Phone 8.1

One thing Official Change log of Windows Phone 8.1 drew to our notice is that users now have options to delete multiple calls from the recent history and also delete messages from a single thread. Windows Phone clubs SMS from a single sender into big thread, though it allowed to delete multiple SMS but it wasn’t possible for messages in a thread.

To Delete Multiple Call Records:

• Launch the Call App
• In History, Tap on extreme left of of any call or  tap the menu bar and then tap again on “Select Calls”
• This will add checkboxes next to each of the calls made.
• Select as many you want and tap on delete icon the menu bar.

To Delete all the Call Records :

Repeat the steps above but choose select all from the menu bar and then hit the delete icon.

To Delete Messages from a Thread:

1. Go to SMS or the message app.
2. Tap on any SMS which is threaded or has more than one SMS
3. Now, Tap on extreme left of of any message or  tap the menu bar and then tap again on “Select messages”
4. This will add checkboxes next to each of the sms received
5. Select as many you want and tap on delete icon the menu bar.

That said, these are pretty minor changes but are very basic features as well which is available even in old mobile OS. In fact these features are so much needed that it can piss off a user and make them switch.
