Disqus Announces new App for Windows Phone

Disqus is a blog comment hosting service for websites and online communities that uses a networked platform. The company’s platform includes various features, such as social integration, social networking, user profiles, spam and moderation tools, analytics, email notifications, and mobile commenting.

The company had previously released the exclusive app for Windows Phone back in 2013. Now, the app has got a major overhaul and is bumped to version 3.0. The new app is in beta but can be installed on Windows Phone.

Here are the new features in Disqus 3.0 Beta for Windows Phone:

  • You can now create discussions on channels within the app, including adding topics
  • You can explore all the channels now, rather than a small subset like in the current app
  • You can now upload images to both comments and discussions
  • Moderation for user-created threads (if you are a moderator)
  • A refined design across the app
  • New notification types like when users create a discussion on a channel you moderate, new comments on discussions you start, and more
  • For example, new feed filters just want to see comments from people you follow or discussions from communities you follow.
  • New “communities” tab to show you channels and sites you follow so you can access them quickly.

The app also comes with light and dark themes. You can download the app from the store or hit the link below.
