Dotcabs app for Windows Phone

Dotcabs, a fairly popular, cab service in Hyderabad has launched their app for Windows Phone. This service allows you to book Indica, Verito or Innova air-conditioned, GPS-enabled radio cabs under the Dotcabs brand. I also checked with their website, Google play store and Apple store and it seems they have exclusively launched their app on the Windows Phone platform.

What does the app lets you do ?

You can use this app to make a dot cab booking by selecting pickup and drop locations and if you use it often, save your home or office location for quick access next time. While booking, you can search address based on location keywords or use the map for exact pickup and drop. When done that, you can see the distance and tariff application for that route

One feature which I really liked about the app is possible to select a nearby location based on landmarks. This is help if you wish to get to a destination or not sure of the exact address. You can reach the place and then ask people around for directions.

Cab Reg No, Mobile No, Photo and how far away he is from pickup point, 30 mins prior pickup. The best part here is that you get to see CAB drivers photo, DC Id, option to call and know how far is he from the pickup address.

In case you will need to cancel the booking, you can do it via the app. The app also lets you book cab for others and all the details and recent bookings can be accessed via history section. The app also lets you avail discounts wherever applicable.

When using it for the first time, you will have to register your number using the signup process which requires SMS verification. Once done that, you get all the options which we talked above. When booking, you also have option to specify your payment type i.e. cash, debit or credit.
