Messaging Emoticons : Compose SMS on Windows Phone with all Emotions

It’s true that Windows Phone does support emoticons, its not nicely baked into the keyboard so many news users don’t even know about it but not to enlighten everybody we have a Messaging Emoticons App which brings in all possible emoticons in Windows Phone.

How to use Messaging Emoticons

Emoticons ListThis app comes with its own composer where you can type in your message using the icons from a nicely done swipe able  Emoticon Picker on top and Windows Phone inbuilt keyboard below so you don’t miss the auto complete and suggestions.

Once done you can hit the messaging icon at the bottom of the app to take you directly to SMS Composer, add the number and send it along but if you wish to use it over email or any other social network, you can use the copy option which is right next to the composer.

The app is not only free but has a very smooth experience and as of now I don’t find any issues with it. Any changes you make like save etc is notified to you very smoothly.

Categories :  From Romantic to Mad

This app has all the emoticons nicely categorized into 13 categories which includes Smiles, hands, Animals, Romanitc, Happy, Sad, Mad, Vacation, Weather, Business, Art & Food.

What is interesting to notice that is a favorite categories also meaning you can have all your favorite emoticons ready to be used for composing sms even faster. So any emoticon can be added to Favorites & Pinned to Start. When you tap any of the emoticon to start, tapping will let you copy it instantly without going to the app and then you can quickly paste it where you want.

  • You can have certain categories automatically loaded when you launch the app
  • Default View can be composer or the list of emoticons ready to be copied with a tap
  • And you can set to automatically copy text when leaving the main from compose view which is useful when you switching between apps.

Suggestion : How the App can improve even further

  • Option to Pin a Compose Message which will pre load some of the emoticons automatically.
  • Add the Windows Phone Me Tile update feature so one can post to twitter and Facebook also.
