Facebook Messenger comes to Windows Phone 8

At the press event in Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Microsoft had announced that Facebook Messenger was coming soon to Windows Phone 8 which was only previously available for Android and iOS. Facebook has now officially released the messenger app for Windows Phone and is now available for download.

Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone 8 is definitely a big move as it is one of the most popular social networks and a separate messaging app would be great for the users.

Once you install the app, you need to provide your mobile number and receive the verification code as SMS to get started. Once connected you can view all your friends who are available for chat.
