Facebook Messenger Updated, you can now Text People directly using Phone Number

Facebook has updated the Messenger app on Windows Phone with two new features and one of them is the ability to text people directly using your phone number. Facebook Messenger is one of the popular instant messaging services available across multiple platforms and this update is significant one for Windows Phone.

Apart from the new features, the app has been updated with improvements to performance.

The new features in the update are:

  • Tap People to sync your phone contacts
  • Enter anyone’s phone number to start texting them from the app
  • Add colorful drawings and text to photos from your camera roll before you send them
