What they didn’t announce yet was the new update to Windows Phone, Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 software version 8.10.151116 . From our brief hands on with the 640, we were able to spot a few differences between Update 1 and 2 and mainly isolated to the settings app.

Settings: While settings in Windows 10 for Phone is getting a major over haul, but looks like Update 2 had already made it searchable and sortable. Its been split and categorized along with option to jump between them. An example is Network + Wireless which has Flight mode, WIFI, data sense and so on. Second example is with customization, named as “Personalization” which has start+ theme, lock screen and notifications.
App Permission: This is being rolled out for the fist time in proper fashion. You can now change permissions that you might have granted to the apps during the time of installation. One popular example is location permission.
