Fitbit App Updated to Support Surge, New Features and Improvements
Fitbit App for Windows Phone just got updated which now supports their rare gem, the superwatch, and a fitness tracker that may replace your watch–Fitbit Surge–which recently went on sale on few stores ahead of time. You will be able to sync your stats right from your phone instead of using the dongle that came along. Apart from this support a lot of improvements, new features has been rolled out for the app.

Here is the list:
- New Features: Heart Rate, Quick Calorie Add, Bar code Scanning, Exercise with tracking history support.
- Graphs got a feature bump with new visual style.
- Certain can now log Activities, Calorie and evening snack options.
Surge also received a firmware update that brings it in line with the app update. The tracker now has improved GPS stability, display battery level more accurately, accurate step and calories calculation and so on.
It’s good to see Fitbit rolling out update after update which will keep the users reminded they are here to stay and keep improving the service. Its one of those apps which give their consumers first class treatment.
One thing you should now is that you need CYAN update for the sync to work which basically enables the Bluetooth LE profile. If you don’t see an option to sync, this is the primary reason you don’t have it. Check out the firmware listing page to see if your device is currently stuck with pre-cyan update.
