Flipkart for Windows Phone is here but only supports COD

Finally all great apps are coming to Windows Phone, after recent Indian Apps that were rolled in, Flipkart has also joined in the game which is one of the most popular online shopping service which users trust.

Coming back to the app this is a very basic app to start with but its worth for users who want to do a quick search though  Mobile Version has more features than this. The best part is placing an order via COD which many in India do like.

In this version you have all the categories listed right from books to Xbox games with search button spread every where. However there is no filter option available as of now but thinking mobility into place, it makes life easier but honestly I would rather use the mobile site of Flipkart instead of this for making online purchases.

I am not sure why this was not implemented but I will spare it this time being its first attempt.

Second thing which is missing is Account Login and integration to see all my orders and checking delivery date which is like mus have.

So what do I expect from next update on Flipkart :

  • Full Account Integration with Wallet features.
  • Filters.
  • Call Button to initiate a call instead of just taking it to About Us page.
  • Live Tile Notification for Wish List or Orders when processed.
