Forza Horizon Review for Xbox 360
Any gamer when he thinks of a racing game, specially a car racing game, he would think it just about racing, repairing, upgrading and buying new cars, and if you been bored of reading and playing that, please welcome Forza Horizon, which changes the way we been racing on our consoles.
The best part of Forza Horizon is that it keeps you entertained all the time. Doesn’t matter if you racing in a match or driving on the street. You not only enjoy beating the star but you also get to see the beautiful horizon, and as the sun goes down, you feel playing it for a day! In Short, Forza Horizon has rewritten the rules of traditional car racing and packed up the best wild stuff, all in one place
Introduction :
Forza Horizon looks like a rethought gaming experience which takes place on the roads of Colorado which has everything. Right from steep turns where you need your hand break, long roads to beat your maximum speed, and since this takes place during the Horizon Music Festival, it will always keep you in the mood. Game Experience :
If you are a Movie freak, specially about Cars, You must have seen Tokyo Drift and this game just reminds me of that as soon you launch it on your Xbox. The music, the environment, the street race with people, lights, music, djs and the girls & guys hanging around set the perfect mood for you to turn on the engine to win the race.
The Open Road :
The game actually specialize in making a great experience while you are driving on the street. You get a map with a lot of gaming spots where you need to really drive to participate. Once marked, you are guided by the green light to the spot and this where you get your practice because the roads aren’t straight all the time.
You have traffic, you have other racers, and you have the day and night happening all around you as you travel. The real advantage of this results in practice just before racing. In fact, the road gives you a platform do all your stunts and drifts which are really helpful in the real race.
Street Racing is another fun stuff which happens randomly. Lets say you are racing towards your destination, and you get to see another player along who you can pick for a challenge and make some money.
The Car Racing :
This is typical to any care racing, but there are many parameters that are counted towards your XP which gives you a different level of bands and allows you to participate in a different level of racing.
Some of the factors apart from winning are :
- Beating the star of the racing grid.
- How safely you drove. So even though smashing does not degrade your car but if you don’t, you get more XP.
- Drifts : If you are good at turns and drift instead of slowing down and taking a turn, you earn more XP.
- Your Position.
And here comes the surprise, even when the game ends, you can pickup a challenge with another player to make some extra bucks.
Online Multiplayer :
This is where your real skills gets tested because not only you are playing against human players but also are restricted by types of vehicles, upgrades etc. When you get into the Online Lobby, you get three things :
Find Game
These are events which have settings in place. For example, you have beginners playlist which is best if you just started with Forza or Car racing games. Then you have Social Racing where you are free to choose your upgrade, and car but everybody play with same difficult.
The best in this is the Pure Skill where everything is random which means you need to prove your driving skills, drift passion and how good you are with hand breaks.
Find Custom Game / Create Custom Game :
Define your own rules. This is for those who know the turns, the sound and the engines of the car perfectly. Make your rules and ask others to play by them. You have different type here like Circuit Racing, Point to Point, Street Race, Infected, Cat and Mouse and so on.
Overall the online gaming experience was petty good because I was able to find users to race at any point of the day which will satisfy the need of any online player ad push the demand for new tracks and cars.
Customizing Your Car :
Its pretty simple here and you don’t have to use lots of brain as there is not lot of tuning that needs to be done. All you need is buy better parts, see how they fit compared to your current setup and you are done.
What is so different about Forza Horizon
- When driving there is a Radio running all the time with Music, Live Commentary which can be configured. Really Loved the Radio in Forza Horizon, It sets the mood right when you are driving on the road to reach destinations to participate in racing
- Feels like driving on real street : Also, If you really spend a lot of time on the road, you will love how the day passes by as it sun sets, dawn pushes in and night overtakes
- Forza Horizon also takes away the tension of repairing your car, so if you feel like smashing, feel free
Verdict :
It does not matter if you are a first time car player or you been playing for a while, this is the game you need to pickup if you love car racing game. The graphics are awesome, the music is right and engine sounds just sets your mood right. So go grab it.
