Fresh Paint is a very popular painting app from Microsoft and available for Windows 8 and Windows Phone. Microsoft has now announced a major update for the app and is scheduled to arrive on October 18th with the release of Windows 8.1. The latest updates brings in new watercolor mode, graphite pencil set, and a fresh user interface. Microsoft is also improving stylus pressure and rendering of watercolors in the app.
The features will be available for both Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.

Integration with CanvasPop:
Based on user requests, you can now take a print of your painting from the app. Microsoft has integrated with CanvasPop for this. CanvasPop provides high-quality canvas prints using the best materials and craftsmanship, from archival grade canvas to hand-stretching by skilled workers. Fresh Paint is the first painting app to integrate CanvasPop’s new printing API.
You can select the print option at the bottom of the app and you’ll get a customized page where you can select your size and framing options. CanvasPop then prints your piece, hand frames it, and ships it to you.
