Garmin intrduces Alexa Powered Dash Cam — “Speak Plus”
Amazon doesn’t seem to stop surprising on what it’s doing with Alexa. Today it revealed about its availability of Mobility Key for anything which is connected, and then it’s going to come on PC, and now its partnership with Garmin has given birth to “Speak Plus”. It’s Alexa for your Car, in a way.
At CES 2018, Garmin has introduced an Alexa powered Dash Cam which will help you with navigation, turn-by-turn directions, music playback, and everything your Echo device can do. You can always talk back to your Dash Cam as you drive.

The dashcam comes with a circular OLED screen and similar light ring as Echo Devices which glow up when you interact with it. Since you will be on the move, it connects to your phone over Bluetooth to access data. Speak Plus also houses a camera sensor which will help you record incidents, can warn if your car is close to another, lane rules, and so on. It will also update you on traffic conditions.
SpeakPlus will be available for $230, and will start shipping from January 22nd. If you pre-order, you can get $30 discount. As of now, you get integration with Pandora, Amazon Musci, and few other streaming services. You will be able to connect it with your car speakers for music on the go.
