gMaps Pro for Windows 10 Mobile Now Supports Native Offline Maps

gMaps is probably the only application in the store which has properly got the Google Maps support to Windows. I have been using the apps since Windows Phone 8 days, and it really feels proud that dev hasn’t given up and still working to keep it making better. Today, the app has rolled out native support for Offline Maps for Windows 10 Mobile. Google Maps using  Offline Maps on Windows 10 Mobile….sounds funny!!

How to use Offline Mode in gMaps:

• First, make sure you have offline maps downloaded for the area you are in. If no go to the Settings Menu of the app, and tap Offline Mode. This will take you to the native Offline Map section. Here you can download the required maps.
• Next, relaunch the app and head to the layers pane, which looks like a book stack. Here you get to see all the Layers panel. Next, tap on the offline button to start navigation without the internet.

As you can see in the image above, the app supports Street view, Hybrid View, Traffic, Public Transit, Bicycle, and even Friends if connected with others on Google Maps.

Mind you that the app is very different from the native Maps experience on Windows 10 Mobile, its more closer to Google Maps’ looks and is often updated.
