Google Apps API Library for .Net might bring those Apps to Windows Phone
This went unnoticed but here is a good news. Google Developers Blog announced API Library for .Net last week, on March 17th, which could lead to loads of third party Google Apps on Windows Phone. This library is open-source and is currently hosted at NuGet. Windows Phone developers building apps for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 or 8.1 can use this to communicate with Google’s services.

This is huge and might point to the changing mindset of Google towards Windows Phone as the market share and has even overtaken the previously dominating mobile OS in some countries.
The API can handle OAuth 2.0 integration, streaming uploads and downloads of media ( YouTube Anybody?), Ad Exchange, Calendar, Books, Drive, PowerShell script for Google Compute Engine instances so on. There are more than fifty Google APIs available right away.
That said, it’s now the turn of developers to fiddle with the API and see if they can come up with some beautiful Google Apps for Windows Phone. In case you are a developer and planning to make one, do share with us when it’s ready!!
