How to change Keyboard Size & Layout in Windows 10 Mobile
Flagship devices are usually huge in terms of size, and if you think the keyboard on them is significant for your liking, and usability, Windows 10 Mobile allows you to change the keyboard size and the layout. So those with smaller hands can still reach out the buttons quickly, and if you are left or right handed, you can change the direction for better one hand operation. In this guide, we have shared how you can change keyboard size and layout in Windows 10 Mobile.

- Go to Time & Language > Keyboard

How to change the layout for one hand usage
- Open the messaging app, and select any message.
- Now tap on the text input box, and the keyboard should pop up.
- Now long press on the button which says “&123”. You will get three options–Language, Keyboard Layout Icon, and settings.
- Tap on the middle, and you will have the option to change the layout to left or right.
- Select on any of them; the size will reduce and will also shift the keyboard to one side.
How to change keyboard size?
- On your Start screen, swipe down, and tap on All Settings.
- Next, you can type Keyboard in the search box or Go to Time & Language > Keyboard.
- Now select “More Keyboard Settings”.
- Under Keyboard Size, you a select Small, Medium or Large.

There is a small drawback to this. The space between the keys shrinks as the keyboard size gets smaller. It may result in more typos than usual, but when you get used to it, they should minimise. Additionally, you can also change the Cursor control to the right hand or left-hand usage, if that is how you use your phone.
