  • First of all, right-click on the Start button and select File Explorer from the list
  • Click on File Menu
  • Select Change folder and search options

If you see Options instead of Change folder and search options that means you have selected a file in the file explorer before clicking the File Menu. Close and reopen File Explorer and make sure you don’t click on any file this time. Once you click on Change folder and search options, Folder Options Window will pop up.

  • You will see the Privacy section, under the General Tab, click the Clear button
  • Once the File Explorer History and Quick Access history gets deleted, click on OK
