How to Edit Photos on Windows Phone 8 without any App

Windows Phone 8 which was released by Microsoft back in October has many new features and enhancements. We have covered many new features including Kid’s corner, backup and restore, USB mass storage etc. Another improvement in photo hub is the availability of editing tools. After taking a photo, you can rotate it, crop it, or apply the fix filter. Using the fix will automatically apply some of the most common photographic fixes like exposure, color temperature, and shadow/highlight adjustment.

Crop, Rotate and Auto fix in Windows Phone 8:

To start editing the photo, select the photo from the photo hub and select the option (three dots). Select the edit option.

Fix and rotate are straight forward and there are no sub options. If you select crop, you can see the on screen option to select the area.

You can also select custom aspect ratios for the crop.

Once you are done with the editing, you can save the photos back to the picture hub. Although the editing features are bare minimum, it is pretty useful when you want to quickly share photos by editing them.
