There are various browsers available out there in the market, and not all of them follow the same standards. Here are all the most widely used browsers and how to save a webpage as a PDF on the same:
- Chrome
- Microsoft Edge

- Safari
When using this, you do not need any PDF convertor tool on your computer.
1] Chrome
With Chrome, while right-clicking and choosing Save As could be an option, the built-in Print function works flawlessly and is an effective way in most cases.
- Head over to the webpage you would like to save as a PDF.
- Here, Click on the three-dotted icon on the top-right corner and choose Print from the drop-down menu. You could also press Ctrl + P (Command + P if on Mac) as a shortcut for the same.
- In the new pop-up window, click on the drop-down and choose Save as PDF. The option is available just right to the Text Destination.
- With this, you’ll find a preview generated and other adjustment options.
- Once all the necessary changes have been made, click on the Save button and select a destination path on your computer, and then finally press the Save button to complete.
2] Microsoft Edge
If you’re running on the newer Chromium-based Edge browser from Microsoft, here’s what you can do to save a webpage’s snapshot as a PDF:
- Start by navigating to the page, clicking on the three-dotted icon present at the top-right corner, and choosing Print from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, similar to Chrome, you could press Ctrl + P on the keyboard to bring up the print menu.
- Here, click on the Down Arrow icon displayed under Printer and choose Save As PDF from the available printers list.
- Next, choose the orientation and layout, and manage all the other settings before moving ahead and pressing the Next icon.
- Finally, press the Save button and choose a destination on your PC to store the files.
3] Firefox
While most modern-day browsers now come with a built-in tool to a snapshot of the webpage as a PDF, Firefox solely relies on Microsoft’s Print to PDF function.
- Begin with pressing the icon with three horizontal lines from the top-right corner and choosing Print from the drop-down menu.
- Next, click the Print button on the top-left corner under the new Window. Alternatively, you could use the well-known Ctrl + P shortcut to pull up the print menu.
- Here, choose Microsoft Print to PDF from the list of printer options and select the Print button when ready.
- As usual, choose a file path and press Save.
4] Safari

- Pull up the browser, choose the File menu from the menu bar and choose the Print. You could also press Command + P to bring up the printer window instantly.
- On the next page, select the Down Arrow located at the bottom left corner and choose Save As PDF from the drop-down menu.
