HP ElitePad 1000 and HP ProPad 600 Windows 8.1 Tablets Announced

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014), HP has announced two new Windows 8.1 tablets, the HP ElitePad 1000 and HP ProPad 600. Both the tablets comes with a 10.1 inch WUXGA display and have many specifications in common except for few changes. Both the tablets have optional 4G LTE connectivity. Both the tablets are intended for business users.

Specifications of HP ElitePad 1000:

  • Windows 8.1 tablet with 64bit OS
  • 10.1WUXGA display with Gorilla Glass 3
  • 9.2mm thick and 1.5pounds weight
  • Intel Atom processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64/128GB internal storage with microSD Card support
  • 8MP rear camera with 2.1MP front facing camera with 1080p video recording
  • 4G connectivity (Optional )
  • Touch, pen or voice input

The main feature set of the tablet is the set of accessories along with the $739 price for the tablet. HP ProPad 600 also has similar specs, but without the accessories and lower price point. The ProPad is powered by Intel’s Atom processor, has expandable storage ports, micro-HDMI and lacks the ElitePad’s aluminum finish.

  • Windows 8.1 (64bit/32bit )
  • 9.9mm thick and 1.4pounds weight
  • 10.1WUXGA display  with Gorilla Glass 3
  • Intel Atom processor – Intel Atom Z3775 Processor for 32bit /Intel Atom Z3795 Processor for 64bit
  • 2GB RAM (32bit)/4GB RAM (64bit)
  • 32/64GB internal storage with microSD Card support
  • 8MP rear camera with 2.1MP front facing camera with 1080p video recording
  • Optional 4G connectivity

There is no mention on the pricing of HP ProPad 600 and will be announced close to the launch.
