HTC 8X Specific Settings for Windows Phone 8
Right after, I unboxed HTC 8X, I was super excited to find out what kind of specific settings HTC has offered for its flagship device. The result was that I was equally impressed and not impressed at the same time. Here is my finding, and do check out the video at the end.
Low Volume for Ringtones :
I missed at least 5 calls right after I started using it. Later on, I found that the ringtone volume are pretty low compared to other Windows Phone which does not go very high even when you hit the volume full.
Nice Accent colour, matching the phone :
HTC has designed a theme which matches with your phone colour. This is really cool because it actually matches with everything and somebody else taking a look at it will be instantly attracted.
Beats Audio : Where is the Equalizer ?
Beats Audio is very good. After hearing a couple of songs on Lumia 920 and HTC 8X, I found Beats Audio has an edge on the overall quality of the songs. Even though Lumia 920 supports Dolby but Beats still makes a difference.
However, It is missing the Equalizer which Lumia 920 has, and it was one of the most demanded feature of Windows Phone 7.5. I am not sure why HTC could not roll in an equalizer when it has an on board chip specifically for Audio.
Good thing is that the beats audio gets turned on as soon as you plug in earphone or headphone, and stays turned off by default.
Attentive Phone : The best setting.
Phone in your pocket, 8X rings louder and when you pick it up, the ringer goes low, and all it needs is a flip to silence it.
These are the exact settings in 8X under Attentive Phone Settings which makes sure that you don’t miss a call, and the over all experience is smooth. Loved it.!!

Apart from these there is not much of settings available. You do have a couple of Apps which are just for HTC Windows Phone which can be found in the app store.
