Huawei Ascend W1 starts selling in Russia from February for 8990 Rubles

Official Russian Huawei Twitter account made a tweet which said that the Huawei Ascend W1, Low End  Windows Phone 8 will start selling in Russia starting this month.  The phone will cost 8990 Russian roubles which is approximately 300$. The price is almost similar to Lumia 620, another low-end Windows Phone 8 from Nokia.

The Tweet translates to :

Meet a new Huawei Ascend W1 – our first smart phone based on Windows Phone 8.

Smartphone sales will begin in February, the price – 8990 rubles.

Even though Huawei Ascend W1 is a low-end Windows Phone, the deal carries battery power of  2000 mAH with a screen size of 4 inch which is close to Lumia 510 screen size. The phone has a front camera of 0.3MP while rear camera is 5 MP.  The resolution however is only 800 X  480 px.
