Idea Cellular brings Mobile Operator Billing to Windows Phone in India
We had heard about Mobile Operator billing on Windows Phone from a very long time. This feature is specifically very important when it comes to India as most of the consumers in India don’t have a Debit or Credit card or aren’t using it with their account so proactively. Mobile Operator billing is very convent for consumers as it is lot easier to recharge their phone using cash here.
Good news is that Idea Celluar has rolled out this feature for Windows Phone users. The option shows up when you want to buy an app. In case you cannot see it, just hit the switch payment link to figure it out. It will clearly say that “The amount will be charged to your mobile phone account”

Since this is a recent thing, and working on a country level, the official list of career billing still doesn’t have anybody listed on the account. We expect this to expand with Vodafone and Airtel also jumping on the bandwagon. This will be a great push for all consumers who are stuck to move to Windows Phone because of this reason.
Reliance was the first to come with support in India in October. Anybody using operators like Airtel and Vodafone can check and confirm us if this is true? Can you see the options in your mobile payment? Let us know in the comments.
